Durham designer Sharon McCormick of Sharon McCormick Design, LLC, will be featured on Boston WHDH Channel 7 5:00 PM NBC News on Friday, June 22. The segment, called “Room for Improvement”, is the result of a six month living room renovation for a couple in Lynnfield, MA.  Little was left untouched in the original room, as it underwent a total transformation thanks to a dedicated team of Connecticut talent.

A new ceiling and crown molding were installed by Nobal Painting and Remodeling. RJP Remodeling built gorgeous built-in bookcases with window seat. Recessed and accent lighting added sparkle. Jim Coughlin of Perfection Painting traveled to Lynnfield to coat the ceiling and trim. Durham artists Pat Ganino and Mike Sundell of Creative Evolution added their magic with a dramatic red faux finish on the walls. Custom end tables were crafted by Glastonbury resident Steve Antonellis of Hemlock Hollow . Custom upholstered furniture, glorious window treatments, original artwork and a myriad of accessories turned this stark room into the family’s haven.

The room has a striking nautical theme which captures the family’s love of Nantucket. Debra Alberts-Sidmore, the homeowner, exclaimed, “ Everything just really came together and it looks so incredible. Everything is just perfect. I hope I don’t wake up tomorrow and find that this was only a dream. We are so proud of the room and can hardly wait to show it off. It makes us happy to be home now.”
