The Junior League of Hartford recently wrapped up their Show House 2006. A beautiful 1920 historic residence in West Hartford featured over 30 interior and exterior spaces decorated by some of our area’s leading designers. Proceeds fund Junior League community projects and grants serving women, children and families.

Among the designers who participated is Sharon McCormick of Durham’s Fairchild House Interiors, who discusses her “Elegant Glamour Powder Room” on page 62.

The living room was designed by Joanne Riley of the Interior Edge in Hartford. Riley used a collection of metallics and silks in combination with custom treatments throughout the room to achieve the luxurious look.

Wonderful outdoor displays were exhibited by local artisans and landscape experts. West Hartford native Ric Ide creates fired pottery garden orbs in his Provincetown (MA) home studio.
